He understands tolerance. I guess that's why he's not a Jehovah's Witness.

Email being circulated among JWs regarding the Golden Compass
by The Oracle inthought i would share this warning email that is circulating among hundreds of jws.... -----------------------------------------------------------------.
just wanted to inform you all of a children's movie that is coming out in december, during the christmas season, which is entitled "the golden compass".
the film stars nicole kidman and is based on the first of a trilogy of books for children called "his dark materials" written by phillip pullman of england .

You can google a synapsis of the The Golden Compass ,
This made me laugh. When a person grossly misuses a word, as they did here, it really makes them seem like they don't know what they are talking about. Their whole cover of pseudo intelligence is blown.

i found a pice of sublimnal art as a dubbie i'm shocked!
by XOCO inyou guys this has really freaked me out so much tonight as i was looking though my revelation book climax at hand i was looking to see where we had left off and i usually do this by seeing where i have stopped highlighting in the book.. so i started at pg 156 & 157 of the book so there were a bunch of marks on those two pages their are pics nothing special there.. but on page 159 their is a pic of jesus in the heavens where he is extending his handout to get a piece of paper and that's where i notice on the hand that were the wrinkles are supposed to be there is a face like a fetusnow i mean anybody can tell you that is a face of a baby.
i don't know why a baby on jesus hand or what it suppose to mean.
i guess it really shows how the control tower (watchtower) make me a jw feel really shitty.

I agree. That is a very creepy picture. I'm sorry though, I just don't believe in the secret society connection with subliminal art. Maybe Russel was a Mason over 100 years ago but who is keeping the secrets today? Who is directing the artists to "make the hand look weirder", or put a scary face here or there, but don't tell anyone that you were told to? I don't have faith that Bethel can keep secrets that well. They're just bad artists.

Here's a dollar for gas.....what a joke...
by SnakesInTheTower ini heard the other day on the radio that gas (in the us) was up 81 cents/gal.
from this time last year.
i am sure the 2 at the beginning of the price of gas on the sign is about to be as extinct as the dodo bird.

It seems like the cheapest, most worthless people on earth are usually the first ones to whine when their free ride isn't luxurious enough.
My favorite was when the elders and their wives would make their grand appearance for the CO visit. All the men would work together and the poor elderesses couldn't drive their husbands vehicles. So I would get a car full of spoiled, whiney old women in my shabby little car. Then it would start, "this back seat is not very big." "Is your car supposed to make that noise." "I'm getting a headache." "I think you have an exhaust leak." "I think something else is wrong with your car."

How long before you tell people you were once a Jehovah's Witness?
by Trevanian inmost of the people i've met since i left don't know that i spent years of my life as a door knocker.. i have very dear friends who don't know.
i've even had lovers who didn't know.
my last partner knew, and found it vaguely amusing.. i guess i find it deeply embarrassing, although over the years it's become easier to mention it.

Usually, telling new people that I used to be a JW isn't something that I like to do. However, I had to get a new hairdresser (old one is still JW). So, she asks me what I'm doing for the holidays, and I was like, "Oh. Uh, I don't know." - awkward pause. Then I thought, that sounded retarded so, either explain why you're a retard or just be retarded. So I said, this is my first year celebrating, my family never celebrated because they were JWs. It turned out that her parents used to be JW's too and we had a pretty interesting conversation.

Asinine JW comments Part 2: The Sequel
by 5thGeneration inthere was a cia agent that was just caught for stealing secrets.. i took the opportunity to say to my sister: "well, i remember stories that the kgb infiltrated the society and got as high as district overseers!
" (thinking of course that she may question the "spirit appointed" part).. instead she replied: "i heard the same thing and that once they got there they realized it was indeed the truth and became brothers.".
can you say kool-aid?

The idea of the CIA even caring enough to infiltrate the WTBTS is funny - I'd have laughed my ass off if you said that to me.
There was something about this in the Daniel book. I can't remember if it was the CIA or the KGB or whoever but it sounded believable to me. The reason for the infiltration is because the WTS was suspected of treason or conspiring against the government. The CIA wanted see if there was substance to the suspicions. As for them becoming "real brothers", uh...yeah...sure they did.

most disturbing movie scene you've seen?
by knock knock ini haven't seen this topic on here so i thought i'd.... hmmm, maybe it's because it's just too disturbing?
to me, the scene in saving private ryan - the two soldiers in the small upstairs room fighting hand to hand to the death (by stabbing).
i think that is the most disturbing thing i've seen on screen and there were plenty just in that film alone.

There was a scene in Platoon where a US soldier bashes a kid in the head an kills him. Horrible.

(Attn Girls) What color should I color my hair?
by reneeisorym ini'm really ready for a change.
my hair has been the same for two years now and i just want something different.
i would do it pink or whatever but i have an appointment with my hair cutter person (1 mile from my house) -- not my crazy color person (who is two hours away) .... this one has colored my hair twice and does a great job but she is just not one to do crazy off the wall things.

Looking at the picture, I'd say strawberry blonde. I think it would look good with your coloring especially if that's the way you usually do your make up. Secondly, if you don't like it, it would be easy to change.

Gotta love it! Always mentioning that they don't pass the collection plate. Why bother asking for pocket change, they'd rather have everything that you spent your entire lifetime acumulating - house, life insurance, jewlery, what else ya got!
